Gazania Chungwa
Gazania chungwa, also known as the trailing gazania, is a vibrant and resilient flowering plant native to South Africa. It's a low-growing, spreading perennial that's highly valued for its striking daisy-like flowers. This Gazania has a double flower in an orange-terracotta bloom.
The plant's foliage consists of narrow, green leaves that often have a silvery or grayish hue. These leaves help the plant conserve water, making it well-suited for dry, sunny conditions. Gazania chungwa is a sun-loving plant; its flowers open fully in sunlight and close up at night or on cloudy days.
This gazania is an excellent choice for ground cover, borders, and rock gardens. It's relatively low-maintenance, drought-tolerant once established, and attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies. Its ability to thrive in challenging conditions and its cheerful blooms make it a popular choice for adding color and interest to gardens.
