perfect for pollinators

Calendula officinalis 'Orange Flash', common name Pot Marigold, is a compact, bushy, cool flower, which means it prefers lower temperatures, with scented, dark green foliage.

The name of this one is a little misleading, it has beautiful, unusual soft apricot flowers with darker, bronze shades on the underside of the petals. Plant these in the garden in very early Spring for a lovely bright show in the garden for the whole of Spring and early Summer. If you live in cooler climes they'll last until the first frosts, and will reward you by self seeding over your garden. We love to pull these seedlings and transplant them in early spring for another great show the following year. Of course the pollinators love them too! A perfect compliment in the vege patch. They dont mind poor soils, but do prefer full sun. Add compost at the time of planting for a fuller, bushier plant and lots of seeds. A great little plant, so rewarding and such a beautiful soft colour!

Grows to 60cm tall and 25cm wide. Great as cut flowers too.

Hardy annual.

Plant size PB2 :: Equivalent to 1.2 litres.
