In the Nursery:
Whilst the rain falls, the nursery team have been busy over the last few months, potting up, dividing, taking cuttings, collecting and sowing seeds...
Within the potting shed, we prepare to thresh and separate chaff from our collected seeds to pack and store, ready to sow in the Spring to Summer months ahead. The spider production within the shed has revealed a few squeals, with more and more critters coming in from the cold, nature reminds us that new life carries on alongside our new plants regardless of what goes on in our busy day-to-day lives.
In the Garden:
The garden team has also been busy planting bulbs all around the garden, including Hyacinths, Daffodils, Freesias and Tulips. They typically bloom in Spring, but given the unusual weather and temperatures we've been having this year, some have decided to peak their heads out much earlier than expected. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Spring will also be an exciting time for the nursery as it showcases many plants we've not had before.
Planning time for the garden in these cooler months is always inspiring from the garden magazines, enjoyed along with a hot beverage and a comfy chair.
