perfect for pollinators

Also known as a Stokes Aster, Stokesia laevis Mary Gregory is a North American native wildflower that is a wonderful addition to the sunny border.  Flowers are a pale lemon colour. Plants form a low mound of deep green leaves, remaining evergreen in mild winter areas and winter dormant in cold areas.  Tolerant of hot, humid summer regions, so we find they grow well for us here in Auckland but they will be happy in all climates throughout the country.

A fantastic choice for cutting, and also make a wonderful addition to the Butterfly Garden. These plants need good drainage, particularly in the winter, so a raised bed or a handful of gravel works well as would a position in a rock garden.  Also, a great candidate for mixed containers.  This plant is particularly long blooming so removing spent flowers will encourage new buds to perform. Reliable and durable.

However, areas such as Auckland or the Middle North Island may allow up to 12 standard 1 Litre sized plants before the next level shipping rate applied.)
