Also known as Michaelmas daisies, these plants are such a welcome addition to the late summer/autumn garden. This cultivar is not often seen and has sprays of small pale mauve daisy-like flowers that fade to almost white and is also excellent for cutting.
Silver spray will tolerate light shade although preferring a sunny spot with good drainage. Cutting back stems early in the growing season will help to keep the plant nice and bushy. Cut back flower stems at the end of the flowering season and occasionally you may get a few shorter stems coming on dependent upon your climate. Easily split in autumn and dividing the clumps every few years will ensure that they continue to flower prolifically.
