perfect for pollinators
This lovely tulbaghia which hails from South Africa has dainty heads of fragrant lilac pink flowers on stems that stand proud above the attractive blue-grey foliage.

This little plant adds both colour and texture to borders and is easy care. A clump forming semi-evergreen perennial Society Garlic as it is also known had the added bonus of being drought tolerant once established.

Plant in full sun in well drained soil. Plants can be easily split once established.

Flowers are also pretty for picking. The plant seems to have antibacterial, antifungal and antithrombotic properties. The leaves have also been used for oesophageal cancer and sinus headaches. When planted around the house, Tulbaghia violacea keeps mosquitoes, ticks and fleas away too. Such a useful plant!

Perennial Hardy to about -5 degrees Celsius.

Height 50cm x clumping.

Pot Size : 1 Litre
